6 Functional Items To Decorate Your Kitchen

Hey there and welcome to my kitchen refresh! If you have been hanging out here for any time at all, you know I love to decorate with items that are functional and pretty. Since moving into our house four years ago, I haven’t made many updates to our kitchen and I felt like it was time to switch some things out. Of course, my number one requirement was for any new items to serve a purpose. I’m not a fan of unnecessary clutter on my counters. Here is my list of 6 functional items to decorate your kitchen.

  1. A Lazy Susan

I went to Ross Dress For Less a few days ago and fell in love with this lazy Susan. I knew it would be perfect sitting next to the stove holding my spices and olive oil. I love how it spins, so anything I need while cooking is in arms reach. I also keep my cutting boards close by, so I can chop fruits and veggies while I cook.

2. Decorative Bowl

For as long as I can remember, I have had a decorative bowl sitting on my counter to hold fresh produce, snacks, bread, candy, and really anything else you need a drop spot for. I’ve had this bowl from Home Goods for a few years now and I love how unique it is. The best part about bowls are they are inexpensive, come in all different shapes and sizes, and you can just have fun with them!

3.  Tray

This tray, or any tray for that matter, is a great way to corral smaller items on your kitchen counter. It helps keep things looking neat and organized.

4.  Mug Rack With Cute Mugs

These Pioneer Woman mugs are too pretty not to display. Plus, I love having them right next to my Keurig for convenience. The gold mug rack is one of my favorite kitchen items. If you don’t have a lot of cabinet space, displaying your pretty mugs is the perfect solution.

5.  Bread Box

A bread box is both cute and functional. It is a great way to store bread and keep it fresh without taking up space in the pantry.

6.  Large Utensil Holder

Keeping all the necessary cooking utensils next to the stove is a must do. I love having spoons, spatulas, whisks, and a rolling pin within arm’s reach. Again, these items are both functional and pretty sitting on the counter. Did you find this list of 6 functional items to decorate your kitchen helpful? I hope you are now inspired to decorate your kitchen with items that are functional and pretty.
